Technical Lead/Manager

The position is responsible for managing the technical activities of data analysts, architects and developers to deliver the enterprise data warehouse and reporting and analytical capabilities. This role will work with business and IT colleagues, and will be responsible for technical management, solution design, development and on-going support for delivery of the project roadmap while working closely with the Project Manager.

 Responsibilities and Duties

·        Ensures high quality technical design and development of the data warehouse and business intelligence

·        Implements processes and procedures to ensure predictability and to establish the groundwork for process improvement

·        Participates in and/or lead projects to ensure accuracy in the design, performance and scalability of the data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.

·        Leads the improvement on team processes including BI engagement, prioritization, and resource capacity planning and solution delivery process.

·        Continually drives improvements in processing of data and data management solutions

·        Provides input and experience on the architecture, design and evolution of the new enterprise warehouse and information delivery solutions, including tool implementation, migration strategies, and risk mitigation.

·        Provides direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration

·        Manages and executes the implementation plan accounting for changing needs and requirements and secures resources to support

·        Keeps project manager abreast of implementation progress and serves as liaison between the team and project manager

·        Facilitates regular status meetings with project team and project steering committee effectively

·        Resolves and/or escalates issues to the project sponsor in a timely manner

·        Collaborates with business and technology leaders to identify key business requirements to enable implementation into the enterprise data warehouse

Qualifications

·        10 plus years of experience in IT

·        5 plus years of experience architecting and leading data warehouse solutions in a healthcare payer and provider environment.

·        Excellent understanding of enterprise data warehousing principles, data integration, and data management

·        Expertise with implementing data integration with Informatica, Data Stage or similar ETL tools in order to provide directions to Data integration team

·        Expertise with Change Data Capture tool

·        Expertise with data modeling and source to target mappings.

·        Strong attention to detail, complete with strong data gathering, problem solving and analytical skills

·        Ability to be flexible and deal with changing priorities and timelines/due dates

·        Proficient in the creation of process and procedure documentation

·        Experience in leading a team conducting data analysis, administration and stewardship

·        Experience of managing customer databases, processes and procedures to support the marketing requirements of the business

·        Experience of data migration and testing (e.g. User Acceptance Testing) activities

·        Experience in leading a team conducting data analysis, administration and stewardship

·        Has managed workflow and prioritization of tasks, ideally via a ticketed approach and within an SLA or deadline focused environment

·        Effective communication of solutions to both technical and non-technical teams

·        Expertise in guiding data warehouse project team through full development cycle using Agile or any form of Lean methodologies.

·        Proficient in SQL development

·        Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

·        B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
